Hi, My name is Tim Cork. I was born and raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia during the 40's and 50's. I lived in the Montpelier Addition of Clarksburg and went to Linden, Central and WI schools.
Judith Ellen Holden, was also raised in Clarksburg's East End. Judy lived on Williams Court and went to Carlile Grade School before she moved to Chestnut Hills and went to Central and WI schools. We met each other while going to Central Jr. High and have been together ever since.
We now live in Atlanta, GA, but we both have many fond memories of growing up in Clarksburg and the friends we made there. We have returned many times to visit relatives, friends and attend class reunions. Yes, the 50's was a great time to grow up in Clarksburg and an era I will never forget.
Throughout the years, I have collected many news articles and pictures related to Clarksburg. It has been like a hobby to me. In other words, if it had to do with Clarksburg, I kept it. Today I have a computer full of memories and wanted to share them with others. I want everyone to know what a great town Clarksburg, WV was and always will be to me. I decided, that starting a blog would be the best way to do it and I really hope you will enjoy my postings. If you have some old photos of Clarksburg and would like to share them with others, I would be happy to post them and give credit to you. You can e-mail them to me at tpcork@bellsouth.net

About the many pictures.
Many of the pictures shown on this site are with permission or courtesy of others who wanted to share their memories of Clarksburg, WV. Several pictures shown were taken from Robert F. Stealey's books on Clarksburg and Harrison County. These are two great books with many pictures from the past and lots of information about our hometown. Believe me, because I have both books.
These books make great gifts for friends and family. Especially if they are from Clarksburg or near by areas.
