Clarksburg My Home Town
Just curious that the West Virginia Restaurant was not mentioned among the famous Clarksburg Restaurants. I worked at 165 West Pike Street from 1969 until 1975 and I stopped in every morning for coffee and their fabulous chocolate covered donuts. Ate lunch there many times and can still remember their open faced sandwiches covered in gravy. My cousin Patty worked there from 1970 till 1975 and I have been trying to reconnect with her but cannot remember her maiden name. I wonder if anyone on this site who worked there between 1973 through 1975 is still living and would remember her. I remember that she was getting married and moving to Pennsylvania in 1975 about the time that I was leaving Clarksburg. Remembering the restaurants that I frequented when worked in Clarksburg brings back many fond memories of good food and nice people.
